BSc (Computing & Law)
2nd Major in Cybersecurity
I’m Kevan Wee, a penultimate-year Computing & Law undergraduate at Singapore Management University, specialising in product management and the design of technology-driven legal and governance systems.
This 3D portfolio is a quick snapshot of who I am and what I build.
I study at the intersection of law, software, and data-driven governance: where legal rules meet real-world digital systems.
Through my training in Computing & Law and Cybersecurity, I work on problems involving:
I’ve worked across LegalTech, litigation, IP disputes, and legal operations, where I’ve seen first-hand how legal decisions are shaped by technical realities like scraping, content reuse, automation, and system design. Alongside this, I build tools that translate legal rules into software, from document-analysis pipelines to citation-checking systems and AI-assisted legal workflows.
When I’m not in school or internships, I’m usually prototyping something new: turning legal problems into working technical systems.
Access to justice is not an abstract idea for me, it’s something I work on directly.
I previously volunteered with Singapore’s Community Justice Centre and the State Courts’ On-Site Legal Advice Scheme, where I assist members of the public navigating real legal problems — from family disputes to procedural and administrative issues. This frontline experience has deeply shaped how I think about LegalTech: good systems aren’t just powerful, they have to be usable by people under stress, confusion, and financial constraint.
Alongside this, I contribute to pro-bono LegalTech projects, helping design and prototype tools that reduce friction between people and the legal system — whether that’s form-filling, document handling, or access to legal guidance.
Prior to my undergraduate years, I am ex-military intelligence practioner, specialising in GEOINT, supporting operations, peace support, humanitarian assistance, and disaster relief.
This gave me a strong foundation in:
I’ve worked with professional-grade systems like Hexagon ImageStation, producing terrain and spatial intelligence used for real-world operational decision-making. That background trained me to think in terms of systems, uncertainty, and high-stakes decision environments, the same mindset I now bring into cybersecurity, platform governance, and legal technology.
